Derek has over forty years’ experience working within the construction industry has worked for KOK since 2012. He was appointed Head of Professional Services in September 2022.

He is currently a Director at the Association for Project Safety and is a member of the National Members Representative Group (NMRG). He also sits on the regional Construction Industry Council (CIC) committee.
Recently involved in major / high profile projects such as the completion of the new Royal Liverpool Hospital, Proton Beam Therapy units in Manchester at The Christie and in London, new Science and Engineering building for ManMet and University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC).

Outside of work
Derek is deputy Chair of Governors at Sudley School in Liverpool. He is a member of the Lancashire Wildlife Trust and very keen on natural history. He has a keen interest in music and has recently been adopted by a Border Collie named Finn.
