THE CHALLENGE

The Accelerator building is home for life science companies on the Liverpool Health Campus.

Accelerator is a £28m collaboration between the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital Trust (RLBUHT) and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) supporting businesses through collaboration, innovation and investment.

Accelerator is located on the same campus as the brand new £335m Royal Liverpool Hospital and the £162m Clatterbridge Centre for Cancer sharing a rapidly expanding Clinical Campus.

With approximately 30,000 square feet of lettable space, Accelerator is a brand new building in the very heart of the Knowledge Quarter, boasting state of the art laboratories including category 3 laboratories, insectaries, offices, collaboration zones, meeting rooms and cafeteria. It is central to Liverpool’s vision

KEY CONSIDERATIONS

Crucial to all innovative incubation spaces, the building by design stimulates flow and the exchange of ideas and the meeting spaces enable both formal and informal collaboration across health, research and industry.

THE OUTCOME & RESULTS

The project was completed in line with all tender and contract requirements.

Successfully coordinated health and safety matters throughout the life of the project. CDM regulations were adhered to and all client duties discharged.
