THE CHALLENGE

The provision of CDM Principal Designer and CDM Advisor services for multiple projects across the Lancashire and Yorkshire regions.

KOK are providing CDM services for 55 projects to date and work closely with THG to provide accurate and robust support on a project from implementation to completion.

Our services in include the preparation of pre-construction information, submission of F10, review of construction phase plans, site safety inspections and the preparation and handover of the H&S file.

KEY CONSIDERATIONS

Multiple occupied premises and tenant considerations.

Safety issues in relation to physical constraints of many of the sites and proximity to adjacent public highways and footpaths.

Potential Asbestos and other controlled substance contamination in pre 2000 build buildings.

Co-ordination with other works being undertaken by the group and programme of works changes.

Co-ordination with other works being undertaken by the University and more generally in the City Centre as part of Coventry’s European City of Culture status.

Conducting monthly site safety inspections on behalf of the Client to ensure the site is compliant and all risks are being mitigated by the Contractor.

Ensuring the works are being managed safely within restricted boundaries. The focal point of the audits is ensuring robust segregation methods are deployed, inspection records are thoroughly detailed, equipment is fit for purpose and evidence of employee competency is provided.

THE OUTCOME & RESULTS

Project are continuing to be completed in line with all tender and contract requirements.

Successfully coordinated health and safety matters throughout the life of the project. CDM regulations are adhered to and all client duties discharged.
